36 WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."

1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day un-rushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe
36. Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.

GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

Last night, when I prayed...

On my way home, there were so many questions inside my head. So many why's and so many how's. One thing that bothered me that day, is the feeling of emptiness. I don't know what is causing that, I even asked myself, is it about the goals that I have written in my notebook, am I putting too much pressure on myself? Is it maybe I really miss someone and going back to the Philippines will fill up the emptiness?

Then I thought about things such as, why do people have so many wants and needs, why do we have so many goals in life, why are we not satisfied with our everyday life? Does that makes our everyday life boring, because the "everyday life" is not enough to meet our goals?
Then I noticed, I am indeed asking so many questions. I started to pray, and asked for God's guidance. Guidance so that I can manage my day to day life. While I was on the bus, I started to imagine my past again, then, I realized, how I missed my life back then. Simple life. I then looked on my left, and this simple quote made me smile.

LIFE IS WORTH EXPLORING.

I thank God, He has ways of sending us the message that we need on the right place and on the right time. Yes, let's explore life, take risks, take some big steps out there. Face your fears, write your goals, the important thing is, at least you have one.

Listen to music, sing out loud once in a while, have some time walking alone, attend some biblical studies, do not think of your work once in a while, and post some silly things in Facebook. Have some fun, how? I guess, that would be to take each day one at a time.

Lastly, sip some coffee on weekends, while the Carpenters is playing on the background, well at least for me, that is the best way for my weekend. Try to find out what's yours.

Starting Over Again....

And I'm back!

It has been a long time since my last post on this blog. I admit, Singapore ate me and my time! The time flies so fast in this country. Waking up in the morning at 5:30AM, that is the start of my day, preparing for work, working until 6:00PM and after that, going back home, and when at home, all I want is to rest. To close my eyes, lay may back in the bed. Ooops, I forgot, I also need to eat.

For the past 3 years, this has been my routine, working 5-6 days a week, having a one whole day rest, then the next day, will the start of my work again. It is tough, homesickness, and not everyone will believe this, but working abroad, is not so easy, you are on your own, cook your own food, wash your own dishes, wash your own clothes, iron your own clothes, and, manage your own money, that is the toughest one. But I still consider myself lucky. Why? Because I have my sister with me, my close friends, and family back home who always checks on me and do things that I cannot handle anymore.

For anyone out there who shares the same sentiments as mine, we need to be more positive in life. Pray often, thank God more often, count your blessings rather than counting your shortcomings. Look forward to that day, that all of these hard work will pay off.

So maybe, can you also share with me what is your ideal perfect life? Sharing a simple quote, to lighten up the not so positive post...

A perfect life can’t be found in wealth, for riches can be taken away; not in popularity for popular people can be forgotten; not in beauty for beauty is never permanent; nor in intelligence and talent, for it doesn’t make us a higher creation of God. Instead, a perfect life can be found in contentment with the things we have. From the love we give and from the love we get from the people around us and from belief and faith in God who gives us all the things we need for a perfect life.

The Truth About DNA

DNA is a nucleic acid that is localized in cell nuclei and consists of two long chains of nucleotides twisted together into a double helix and joined by hydrogen bonds between complementary bases adenine and thymine or cytosine and guanine; it carries the cell's genetic information and hereditary characteristics via the sequence of its nucleotides.

Thus, people are identified by their unique DNAs, such as:

Prostitute: DNAvirgin

Old Maid: DNAgamit

Bachelor: DNAkasal

Arab: DNAahit

Water Conservationist: DNAliligo

Bin Laden: DNAhanap-DNAhuli

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo: DNAamin.

DO NOT QUIT....

One day I decided to quit...

I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.

I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God," I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me...

"Look around," He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

"Yes," I replied.

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took a very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.

The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year, the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo," He said.

"In the third year, there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit," He said

"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant... But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots.

Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots?"

"I would not quit on the bamboo. Neither will I ever quit on you."

"Don't compare yourself to others," He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet, they both make the forest beautiful."

"Your time will come," God said to me. " You will rise high! "

"How high should I rise?" I asked.

"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.

"As high as it can?" I questioned.

"Yes," He said. "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and bring back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. He will never give up on you.

Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you happiness
Bad days give you experiences;
Both are essential to life.

Keep going...

Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrows keep you Human,
Failures keep you humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!

THE TIRED, THE CONTENDED, THE ENTHUSIASTS

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, once told the following story. A group of mountain climbers took off to scale the heights. After some hours of walking they got about halfway up and soon split up into three groups. They were all refreshing themselves at a chalet.

One group was sorry it had undertaken such a strenuous trip fraught with dangers and disproportionate to the expected enjoyment. So disheartened and tired, this group turned back.

The second group was happy it was here in the clear mountain air and with the sun tanning them. So they spread their limbs out on the mountain grass and heartily ate the tasty sandwiches they had brought along. Some broke out into song and breathed in the freedom of the heights. They were content and happy right there. Why move on higher? So they stayed right there.

It was only the third group of real mountain climbers who took off for the summit, which they had kept before their eyes from the time they left the valley bottom. That was their goal and they relished tightening every muscle to attain it. In life as we climb to our goal, at times we belong to one of these three moods.
Positive pictures come out from negatives developed in a dark room. So if you find yourself lonely and in the dark, understand that God is working a beautiful picture for you.

Satan is... Busy?

Today, I received a very familiar email.. Alam nyo na, email about God, na dapat isend sa ganitong tao, or else, bad luck in ganitong years...

But, what caught my attention is the subject of the email, "Satan is Busy, Busy, Busy".. So it caught my eyes, and began reading.. Just to share, this is the whole content of the email...

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.

In his opening address he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to
church." "We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the
truth..." "We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship
with Their SAVIOR." "Once they gain that connection with JESUS, our power
over them is Broken."

"So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish
dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a
relationship With JESUS CHRIST.."

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil: "Distract them from
gaining hold of their SAVIOR and maintaining that Vital connection
throughout their day!"

"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.

"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable
Schemes to occupy their minds," he answered.... "Tempt them to spend,
spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow." "Persuade the wives to go to
work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12
hours a day, so they can afford their empty Lifestyles."

"Keep them from spending time with their children."

"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from
The pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small
voice." "Entice them to play the radio or I-Pod whenever they drive." To
Keep the TV, DVDs, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and
see To it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical
music Constantly."

"Let them play Lil Farm, Farmville and other Facebook games in their
computer the whole day so that their time got consumed in that activity
alone" "This will jam their minds and break that union with CHRIST."

"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."

"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."

"Invade their driving moments with billboards."

"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes,
and Every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products,
services And false hopes."

"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands
Will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll
Become dissatisfied with their wives. "

"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night." "Give them
headaches too! " "If they don't give their husbands the love they need,
they will begin to Look elsewhere."

"That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the
Real meaning of Christmas.."

"Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about HIS resurrection
And power over sin and death..."

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive." "Have them return
from their recreation exhausted."

"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect onGOD'S creation.
Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies
Instead."

"Keep them busy, busy, busy!"

"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and
Small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."

"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek
Power from JESUS."

"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health
And family for the good of the cause."

"It will work!"

"It will work!"

It was quite a plan! The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing
Christians everywhere To get busier & more rushed, going here & there.
Having little time for their GOD or their families. Having no time to tell

others about the power of JESUS to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

You be the judge!!!!!

Does "BUSY" mean: B-eing U-nder S-atan's Y-oke?

Please pass this on, if you aren't too BUSY!

Do You Love HIM?

IF YOU LOVE JESUS, PASS THIS ON!!!!!!!

I have not forwarded this email, why? Ewan ko.. Kasi I really felt, that this email is some how TRUE... If you will notice, a lot of us, will start our day, preparing for work, always thinking, "aw, late na naman ako" or "hay trabaho na naman", but we never even thanked HIM for giving us another day.

After the whole day, what will you notice, people on the train, listening to Ipod, or the newest tech, Ipad, or sa Iphone. Lagi na lang, mga taong nakasaksak ang earphones sa tenga, naglalaro sa PSP, or whatsoever that will not bore them. Hindi mo man lang ba maisip to thank HIM, na natapos mo ang araw ng buhay pa?

So, this email made me feel, I need to post this one on my blog.. Because these kinds of emails, should be posted online, para mabasa ng nakakarami.

Let's all think, walang kwenta lahat ng pinaghihirapan natin ngayon, when we die. Please also reflect on the story above, it is true hindi ba? It makes us very busy, na dumadating sa point na wala na tayong TIME para sa KANYA.

Ayan....

Wala lang.. gusto ko lang kasing magpalit ng template, at eto, pangit ang kinalabasan..

Hehehehe..

Dibale, pag nakahanap ako ng maganda gandang template, papalitan ko din ito..

Kaloka...
